Moving the U.S. to an Alternative Fuel-Based Future: Concept to Commerce Feb 9-10, 2007, Emerging Energy Technologies Summit, Santa Barbara, CA

Alternative energy technology and development is a hot topic for many conferences today. Yet a robust discussion about how the U.S. transitions from a carbon-based fuel economy to a sustainable, alternative fuels-based future is an entirely different challenge, one that is being taken head-on by University of California, Santa Barbara’s Technology Management Program.

Join us February 9 and 10, 2007 for the second annual Concept to Commerce Summit hosted by UC Santa Barbara’s Technology Management Program. This year's summit, a sold-out event in its 2006 inaugural year, will take an unbiased look at how our nation makes the transition from dependency on carbon-based fuels to a sustainable, alternative fuels-based future.

Come experience a world class event featuring experts from around the globe who will join together to present possible alternative energy solutions, examine the trade-offs and barriers associated with bringing these solutions to market, and work to develop ways of overcoming these barriers.

About the Summit Series: The Summit focus on emerging energy technologies was designed as a three-year series. The 2006 Summit was to introduce the range of emerging energy technologies and the people behind them. The 2007 Summit takes a closer look at these technologies to determine which will succeed, examine the barriers to their success, and present solutions for overcoming barriers. The series will culminate with the 2008 Summit where an action plan for transitioning to an alternatives-based future will be developed.
