Welcome from Gary Hansen

Gary Hansen

Welcome to the Technology Management Program’s Concept to Commerce: Emerging Energy Technologies Summit website. Continuing on the success of last year’s highly acclaimed Summit, we are well on our way to enlarging our international scope both in terms of new technological alternatives and in terms of policy and economic incentives for this year’s February 2007 Summit. To our participants from last year, thank you for making the Summit a huge success, we strongly encourage you to join us again. And to those who were unable to participate, we encourage you to make plans now to attend our 2007 event.

From the kick-off address to our final panel, the Emerging Energy Technologies Summit is designed to provide market and technical insight, business and investor relationships and economic and political influence necessary for entrepreneurially minded business leaders and policy makers. VC’s and angel investors gain a timely introduction to new emerging energy solutions; academics gain new perspectives, and concerned and involved citizenry helps motivate new policy initiatives. The Summit uniquely provides a cooperative forum for financiers, engineers, scholars, business leaders, and policy makers to address the many dimensions of our nation’s and the world’s energy future, here at the UC Santa Barbara Campus.

Our mission is to analyze barriers and incentives to the adoption of emerging energy technologies with the focus on technical, environmental, social-economic, and political issues and their resolution. Please explore and use our website to download information from last year’s Summit, to see the details for our upcoming Summit to be held February 9 and 10 2007 and to register now.

We look forward to having you participate with us.

Sincerely,

Gary Hansen
